An evening of acoustic settings of songs from some of America’s greatest composers: Cole Porter, George Gershwin, Harold Arlen, Jimmy Van Heusen, Irving Berlin, et al… as well as compositions from some of the best in the pantheon of Jazz artists from the 20th and 21st century.
James McCoy has been a stalwart of the South Florida Jazz scene for nearly 20 years now. An accomplished musician, James sings and swings on the acoustic bass to present some of the greatest songs from the early decades of the 20th Century when Swing was not just a dance, but THE sound of American Popular music from that time.
James hails from the famous family that feuded.
He is the genuine article… the REAL McCOY.
He brings a real sense of swing and artistry to this most elegant American music.
