Rose Max and Ramatis Moraes take their audience on a trip to the beaches, mountains, streets and bars of Rio de Janeiro without leaving the room with their music. A magical and musical experience with the beautiful voice of Rose and the genuine Brazilian acoustic guitar of Ramatis Moraes!

Rose Max is the great-grand daughter of the conductor Cupertino de Menezes and granddaughter of the guitar player Manuel de Menezes, both legends of the early Brazilian music. She started singing professionally in the musically wealthy nightclub scene of Rio de Janeiro. Rose Max won 7 times the International Brazilian Press Award for the “Best Female Brazilian Singer Residing and Performing in the USA”. Miami’s New Times Newspaper elected Rose Max the “Best Female Vocalist” and “The Best Lounge Act” She has recorded five CDs: Rose Max Brazilian Jazz, Atlântico, Fresh (with Ramatis). The Singers of Brazil by Rose Max and Bossa Nova Sinfónico with the National Symphonic Orchestra of Costa Rica, that was nominated for the Grammys. Rose has performed at several Jazz Festivals in the U.S and worlwide.

Ramatis Moraes began classical guitar studies at the age of seven. At the age of twelve he began performing professionally at local bars and nightclubs. Pretty soon, he found himself backing up the biggest names in Brazilian Popular Music (MPB), including Roberto Menescal, Johny Alf, Peri Ribeiro, Maria Creuza, Claudia Telles, Elizete Cardoso, João Nogueira, Roberto Ribeiro, Jovelina Pérola Negra, João de Aquino, Marcus Moura, Moreira da Silva, Golden Boys, Tim Maia and many others. Ramatis is considered one of today’s biggest Bossa Nova guitarist in the U.S and has been living in Miami Beach for the past 27 years, playing Brazilian Jazz, and Bossa- Nova at the most prestigious local venues, jazz festivas in the U.S and worldwide.

Brazilian & Latin Sounds

Besides its coffee, Brazil is also known worldwide for its wonderful music and outstanding musical entertainers. One doesn’t have to “Fly Down To Rio” to enjoy all of that great entertainment, it’s right here in South Florida. Brazilian & Latin Sounds Co. is performing on Sunday, January 14th at the Jazz Age Stage.

Brazilian & Latin Sounds Co. has performed for former President Clinton and 34 international leaders at the Summit of the Americas, as well as at the Super Bowl, the Florida Marlins Championship Victory Party with diva Gloria Estefan, Atlantis Resort, and the Crystal Palace Casinos in the Bahamas.
