Art Deco Weekend is a free, community cultural festival celebrating Miami Beach’s iconic architecture, history, arts, and cultural legacy. Produced by the Miami Design Preservation League (MDPL), the festival returns in 2026 for its 49th year, continuing a tradition that began in 1977 to spotlight the Art Deco Historic District and advocate for historic preservation.
What began as a grassroots effort to protect Miami Beach’s architectural heritage has grown into MDPL’s largest educational outreach program and one of the city’s most beloved annual events. Art Deco Weekend attracts tens of thousands of residents and visitors each year, offering immersive experiences that connect the public to the stories, people, and places that shaped Miami Beach.
